Nandila is my best friend . She is 8 years old. She has another friend , and her name is Samyajita Mitra . Nandila has 5 members in her family. She likes to attend parties and to sponser parties . Her favourite colour is pink. Her hobby is to study and play . She likes ice- cream very much. She likes fish. Her favourite cartoon is Doremon.I love her very much.

I'm thankful to god for helping us find someone like Asha who wants my brother to chase his dreams.He has always been very passionate about astronomy.He had always dreamt of owning a telescope one day.Wishing that day comes soon.

Jubilee park at Jampot

How jubilant I used to feel every time my dad took us to visit Jubilee Park, when I was in school.Any occasional visitor who came to our house (which was very rare) was taken for a tour to this park.The little fountains seemed like huge waterfalls to me then.I often peeped into the tanks to look for fishes that swam in it.There was nothing more colorful than the numerous flowers that bloomed in the park;nothing seemed more perfect than the bushes that had been uniformly trimmed with a lot of care and no one was a greater hero to me than J.S.R.TATA.

POILA BOISHAKH

Last Wednesday it was Poila Boishakh . I greeted my parents a very happy Poila Boishakh. I had my breakfast , and went to watch the television . After sometime my mother told me to go to my grandma's house . I bought sweetmeats from there . I did not get the oppurtunity to wear my new dress but I got the oppurtunity to watch the television after having my lunch . I had chilli chiken and fried rice for dinner. It was a wonderful day!!!!

Shoes seems to have become the common mans missile.I wish these were the only missiles man used as weapons.The world would have been less intimidated of terrorism.

November Sky

Heard Yanni-(November Sky) after many years and couldn't stop listening to it.Yanni's music was actually introduced to me by my brother(who has a ear for good music) many years back.Today, I got the chance to enjoy it once again, in solitude.

Dia's second day at school.

Yesterday was Dia's second day at school in class Four.As tradition would have it,she came back home only to find that her pencil box was missing from her bag.I managed to control my temper though temperatures have soared considerably in Kolkata over the past few days.Probably I was too dehydrated to react.I am at my wits end to find a solution to Dia's lack of responsibility and carelessness.

Five year old Rik,a student a class I, happens to be my youngest student.I'm thrilled that he has scored 95% in mathematics. However his mom is furious because Rik has made a blunder in putting the proper punctuation marks ,while quoting a poem in his English Literature examination.I wonder why a child needs to memorize where the poet has used a colon,a semi-colon or a hyphen ,when he has barely learnt to use a full stop(.) and a question mark(?).Is this a way to test a child's memory skills?

Did I ever say "cars don't fascinate me"?I was terribly wrong.This white gold Mercedes has taken my breadth away!

My Tata Connection.

Cars don't fascinate me much.As a matter of fact,I can hardly distinguish between a Honda City and an Esteem.They all look the same to me,with minor changes in shape ,size and colour.However ,I would love to own a four wheeler someday, for two simple reasons-"I'm getting older"and "I hate to walk down the overcrowded streets of Kolkata"
The car of my choice would naturally be that pint-sized Nano(3099mm long and weighing only 600 Kg) or the evergreen Maruti 800.
